Job Summary: A Generalist Business Analyst is the primary liaison between the business community, technology organization and external partners for all project requirements during the analysis phase of a project. He or she is responsible for proactively conducting interviews with all project stakeholders to elicit functional requirements in an organized manner, then managing and communicating those requirements throughout the project life-cycle. Upon establishment of the requirements baseline, he or she will address change management issues and assist in test planning.

Job Summary:Functional business analysts help companies operate more effectively by using software for specific purposes, such as monitoring finances or managing employees.

Primary Responsibilities:
Analyze the existing systems and highlight areas of improvement
Enhance opportunities by identifying new software/service to be developed
Analyze and decompose complex requirements
Perform gap analysis and recommend solutions
Fulfill the role of a subject matter expert in requirement elicitation
Document requirements, create functional specifications and prepare wireframes/flowcharts
Oversee the development of the product as per the specifications
Facilitate change and configuration management
Monitor performance, discover variances and propose necessary actions.
Validate the functionality of the end product according to the requirement specifications
Prepare technical user manuals, system configuration documents and other technical reports.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Sr. Business Analyst will be responsible to identify needs, analyze data and implement key initiatives designed to optimize business operations throughout the organization within an Agile environment. The main responsibility for this role will be leading small to mid-size initiatives that are focused on improving efficiency and streamlining processes while maintaining a clear understanding of the overall business and technology strategies. The Sr. Business Analyst will be required to closely collaborate with business partners to document requirements, provide relevant technical artifacts, facilitate user acceptance testing and communicate project status.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as key liaison between their team and its business partners
  • Collaborate with business areas to identify, document and communicate business needs
  • Document, analyze and assess current business processes and underlying systems / applications
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and walkthroughs with business and technology resources
  • Produce high quality business and technical artifacts, including business requirement documents, process flows, functional design specifications, mock-ups and wireframes
  • Plan, facilitate and execute system / functional testing and UAT for projects and enhancements
  • Understand the relationships, dependencies and impact of integrated business functions, core systems, applications, and technical platforms
  • Maintain an understanding of the overall business and technology strategies to effectively guide decision making and system design
  • Lead small to mid-size technology initiatives and provide status updates to team and stakeholders
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4+ years experience as a Sr. Business Analyst
  • Dynamics NAV 2017/Business Central or ERP experience required
  • Knowledge of Financial systems and processes highly preferred
  • Extensive experience planning, facilitating, eliciting, documenting, and managing business, functional and technical requirements
  • Expertise in modeling / mapping current-state to future-state business processes
  • Experience with both traditional Waterfall SDLC and Agile / Lean methodologies
  • Experience in test planning, test case development and execution
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Atlassian Suite, and other project management software
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, activities, and tasks under time constraints
  • Exceptional communication, teamwork and influencing skills that foster a collaborative and continuous-improvement environment
  • Strong critical / analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • High energy level, adaptive and a strong team player with a good work ethic
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be a self-starter
