We are actively seeking a Systems Integration Testing & Release Manager for our client in Los Angeles, CA 90067.
This role ensures that complex, interconnected systems function cohesively, release environments are coordinated, and quality standards are consistently met. The ideal candidate blends technical depth with strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities
Systems Integration & Testing
- Lead end-to-end system integration testing (SIT) strategy, planning, execution, and reporting.
- Develop and maintain integration test plans, test cases, and traceability matrices.
- Coordinate testing activities across multiple teams and platforms, acting as the main point of contact for business stakeholders involved in the SIT activities.
- Ensure defects are logged, triaged, prioritized, and resolved within release timelines.
- Validate system interoperability, data flows, APIs, and cross-system dependencies.
- Establish and enforce testing standards, methodologies, and best practices.
Release Management
- Assists the release lifecycle, including scheduling, coordination, deployment readiness, and post release validation.
- Manage release calendars, ensuring alignment across all agile teams in the Agile Release Train.
- Conduct release readiness reviews, go/no-go meetings, and risk assessments.
- Oversee deployment processes for production and non-production environments.
- Lead the development of Live Cutover checklists for major releases
- Ensure rollback plans, contingency strategies, and release documentation are complete and up to date.
Governance & Process Improvement
- Implement and refine processes for continuous integration, continuous testing, and continuous delivery (CI/CT/CD).
- Monitor release performance metrics and drive improvements in quality, speed, and reliability.
- Maintain compliance with security, audit, and regulatory requirements.
- Champion automation opportunities in testing, deployment, and reporting.
Cross Functional Leadership
- Serve as the central point of coordination between development, QA, DevOps, infrastructure, product, and business stakeholders.
- Communicates release status, risks, and impacts clearly and proactively.
- Facilitate issue resolution across teams and escalate when necessary.
Qualifications
- Experience integrating custom solutions with SAP S4/HANA is desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in structured system integration testing, release management, or similar roles.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab, GitHub Actions).
- Proficiency with test management tools and defect tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
- Solid understanding of APIs, data integration, cloud platforms, and distributed systems.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
