System Architects

Job Location – Los Angeles, CA

Type – Contract (6 Months)

Pay Rate – $80.00 – $90.00 Per Hour (W2 Only)

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, and maintain robust and scalable application and data architectures that align with company’s business requirements, operational goals, and enterprise architecture standards.
  • Define and govern enterprise data architecture and migration strategies, including target state architectures for migrating data from legacy systems, including Oracle-based platforms, to modern cloud-based data lakes, data
  • warehouses, and analytics platforms.
  • Establish and document reference architectures for cloud-native and hybrid environments, including application platforms and data platforms built on Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Provide architectural guidance for batch and real-time data integration patterns, including ETL/ELT workflows, streaming pipelines, and bidirectional data synchronization between cloud platforms and legacy systems.
  • Work with cloud solutions architects, data engineers, and system integrators to ensure application and data solutions are aligned with approved platform architectures, infrastructure standards, security requirements, and
  • governance policies.
  • Support CI/CD and platform deployment architectures to enable repeatable, reliable, and secure deployment of application and data solutions across on-premise and cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and analytics teams to improve system reliability, scalability, performance, and data availability across company’s systems.
  • Document architectural designs, standards, and decisions, and perform periodic architectural and system reviews to ensure adherence to established company standards and best practices.
  • Evaluate and advise on technical aspects of open work requests in the product backlog, including application modernization efforts, data migration initiatives, analytics requirements, and platform readiness for advanced analytics and AI solutions.
  • Other related tasks identified by company that support the successful delivery of application and data architecture objectives.

Required Experience

The qualified candidate must, at minimum, possess a bachelor’s degree from a recognized four-year college or university in computer science, software engineering, data engineering, information systems, or a related field.

Three (3), or more, years of proven experience as a System Architect or in a similar senior technical role, with a demonstrated track record of designing, governing, and supporting robust and scalable enterprise application and data architectures in the following areas:

  • Demonstrated technical proficiency in cloud-native and hybrid architectures, including containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure.
  • Strong experience designing and governing CI/CD frameworks to support repeatable, reliable, and secure deployment of application and data platform solutions across on-premise and cloud environments.
  • Proficiency in modern development languages and tools, including .NET Core, Python, C#, and Git, with a strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience with enterprise data architecture, data migration strategies, and data engineering patterns, including batch ETL/ELT workflows and real-time or near real-time data integration.
  • Experience with modern data and analytics platforms such as Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, or equivalent cloud-based analytics and data platforms.
  • Familiarity with streaming and messaging technologies such as Kafka, Kinesis, Azure Service Bus, or similar pub-sub platforms.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex technical solutions and make sound architectural recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with experience working in cross-functional, team-oriented environments and the ability to effectively guide technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with enterprise security, governance, and compliance considerations as they relate to application and data platform architectures.
  • Certifications in related fields are desirable (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Databricks certifications, or similar).
