Overview –
Seeking an AP Supervisor to provide support across key AP operational functions. This role is intended to be hands-on, with a balance of processing, problem-solving, and team support. Ideal candidate should be comfortable stepping in quickly and operating with minimal ramp-up time. Experience supporting high-volume AP operations and tight payment cycles is highly preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate rush payment requests, ensuring timely processing and proper approvals
- Serve as a point of contact for internal and external inquiries, helping resolve issues efficiently
- Support the weekly settlement process, including validation and readiness of invoices for payment runs
- Oversee and assist with team timecard tracking and coordination, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
- Handle invoice processing and exception management, including research, follow-up, and resolution
- Monitor and manage AP-related inboxes and communications, ensuring timely responses and proper routing
- Partner with AP team members to help reduce backlog and aging items, particularly within exception queues
- Provide light oversight and guidance to junior team members as needed
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 7+ years of Accounts Payable experience, preferably in a high-volume, shared services environment
- Prior experience in a senior or supervisory capacity, with the ability to guide and support team members
- Strong understanding of invoice lifecycle, exception handling, and payment processes
- Experience working with ERP and AP systems (e.g., Coupa, Workday, or similar platforms) is preferred
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Education
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience required
